BABY-LED WEANING AKA BABY-LED SOLIDS

A babies gut is NOT ready for solid foods before six months of age. They only NEED breastmilk or formula for the first year of life and so food is just for fun. It is best to wait until your child is at least six months of age to introduce solid foods.  If your child constantly and consistently spits food out it means she is definitely NOT ready for solids.

It honestly makes me cry to read about how a three month old is forced fed rice cereal in a bottle and how a barely 4 month old is forced fed baby cereal from a spoon even though they spit it out repeatedly... LISTEN TO YOU BABY!!! DO RESEARCH!! THEY ARE NOT READY FOR SOLIDS YET!! It can do SO much damage to them in the short and long term and it just breaks my heart.

PLEASE read some (if not all) of those links they are full of valuable information and great resources. I am sorry if some people are offended but it just breaks my heart to read about babies being forced fed solids before they are ready because I personally know the kind of damage it can possibly do in the long term and not only that but just knowing how the babies body develops and knowing that it is NOT a legitimately recommended practice that still goes on today just makes me cry. :(
